About us

InstantFavicon is a free favicon generator built to make one small job fast: turning an image, a few letters or an emoji into the icon files a website needs.

Why we built it

Many favicon tools upload your files to a server, bury the download behind ads, or hand you a single file when a modern site needs several. We wanted a tool that is quick, clear about what it produces, and respectful of your files.

What makes it different

• Private by design: images are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
• Complete output: favicon.ico, PNG icons from 16×16 to 512×512, a web manifest and ready-to-paste HTML code in one ZIP.
• Quality checks: warnings for low resolution, non-square images and icons that disappear on light or dark tabs.
• Plain-English guides: short, accurate favicon guides that explain sizes, HTML, WordPress and Squarespace.

How we pay for it

The tool is free. The site may show ads from Google AdSense, placed away from the tool so they never get in the way. Read how data and advertising are handled in the privacy policy.
